HTML Sites Good and Bad

The Good.

This is a good clean site.

Media Group Site - Good
This site is clean, easy to navigate and straight to point. The site is not super complicated. The colors are not bothersome either. The graphics and pictures on the site are also visually amusing. You do not have to search the entire page for certain information because they have a useful navigation bar on the far right.

This is another good site from Film Independent
Film Site

Not Only is this site clean and easy to get around but it also captures your attention by having an opening theme. If something captures your eye then you can navigate from there to what you want. They also place links towards the bottom to films that you may like or upcoming films that they have.

BAD Sites!

Mechanic Site

Auto Repair Site
-This site has way too much information and the colors are too bright and not visually attractive against the grainy gray background. The site has a menu bar but once clicking a link, you have to do a lot of scrolling.

Disability Site

http://www.disabilityresources.org/
- This site has bright colors enough to make you disabled in case you werent before going on to this site. There is a whole lot of information. The site is not visually appealing since there is a lot of information thrown at you. You don't really know where to start.

Why am I taking Designing for the World Wide Web?

This is my second attempt at understanding the world wide web. At first I thought it would be much easier but the reality is it is like learning a whole new language and if you do not have patience and time then you are not going to learn it. Specially if you do not practice it enough. This time around I hope to use what I have learned and truly create a working site. The use of web is strongly demanded now and days with everyone trying to connect electronically. This is one of the reasons I want to have a working site, to not only branch out and help others with their sites but to be able to apply to jobs as a web designer. i'm not giving up! :]
